We are a charity managing a refurbished arts centre in the heart of Oxford. Working closely with CRISIS Skylight across the building, we offer great artistic experiences for the public, supporting local artists and engaging homeless and vulnerably housed people in creative opportunities.
The Old Fire Station has undergone a £3.4m refurbishment to create high quality arts spaces, including a fully equipped theatre with sprung dance floor, as well as gallery and shop, artists workshops and a dance studio all of which is integrated with CRISIS Skylight who manage a variety of classrooms including a music workshop and carpentry workshop. Arts at the Old Fire Station is responsible for programming the spaces and working to one vision for the building; to support creativity, develop skills and nurture new talent under one roof.
This is a flagship project supported by Oxford City Council.
We need someone with proven theatre technical experience in both lights and sound, with a commitment to health and safety, and an interest in building management who can work flexibly in a small team. If you would like to join our team in helping to shape this organisation, create a sustainable business and produce something extraordinary, we want to hear from you. This is a post with plenty of opportunity for development.
Further information can be downloaded from www.oldfirestation.org.uk and applications must be submitted by 10am on Friday 24th May 2013. Interviews will take place on Thursday 30th May.
