We currently have no paid positions but are currently looking for the following volunteer posts.

Blog and Article Writers (volunteer posts)

We are looking for interested and enthusiastic writers to contribute towards our soon-to-be relaunched blog. The Old Fire Station Blog is the communicative arm of the Old Fire Station on George St. We are a hub for activity in dance, spoken word, theatre, music, visual arts and more. Our numerous spaces foster creativity and allow for local, upcoming artists (and some more established and international names) to say, display and play their works. The Old Fire Station is shared with the homelessness charity Crisis Skylight, with much of our work complementing theirs including a series of joint projects.

We are currently in the process of relaunching our blog, with the aim of curating a space where opinion and artistic discourse can stretch beyond the Old Fire Station walls. We’ve got the look but we need more contributors. The idea is to provide an online discussion space about the artistic happenings at the Old Fire Station and in and around Oxfordshire. We have a website, on which we can advertise our own shows. The blog provides a freer space. We are looking for interested and enthusiastic writers to contribute to one of six sections:

Visual Art
Literature / Poetry
Workshops (Arts based)

There needn’t be any restrictive limits as to how this project can unfold; we can house pieces of writing that are more journalistic in nature, or opinion pieces, or even pieces of creative writing.
