Oxford’s very own social enterprise un-conference: a fringe to the Skoll World Forum. Marmalade is the place where design thinking tackles social problems to make the world a better place.

How can design solve contemporary social problems? This year Marmalade is about using design to unlock problems through collaborative efforts, and you can be part of it. Building on the success of Marmalade 2015 and previous years, we look forward to an exciting and energetic programme for 2016, with you at its centre.

We’re looking for volunteer stewards to help with the smooth running of the conference. The role includes welcoming speakers and participants, ensuring rooms are set up and ready to go, taking responsibility for numbers in the room and fire evacuation should we need to.  Above all it is a position that requires energy, warmth and the ability to smile when tired. Interested?  Contact

Run an event!

Marmalade is all about user-centered content, generated by participants: your ideas – your events – your solutions. Run an event to be at the heart of the action, applying design thinking to your field of choice. See below for the application form.

All themes and ideas are welcome, as long as they have social change at their heart. Right now we have interest from people who want to run events around: art, forestry supply chains, good practice in trusts and foundations, local Oxfordshire initiatives, social investments, and youth social action.

Sessions are free to attend.
Marmalade is the event formerly known as OxfordJam.
