Tuesday 26 April, 8pm

Some of the best local emerging bands/artists are hand-picked every season for a night of indie, folk-y music in an informal and intimate setting.

So come on in, take a seat (or beanbag), grab a glass of something good and listen away…

The August List

The August List are husband and wife duo, Martin and Kerraleigh Child. They write songs that combine dark stories with the big three of love, life and death. These words are then wrapped in what can only be sensibly described as ‘garage folk’ – an acoustic sound, blending elements of English and American folk music with an alternative rock attitude.

Art Theefe

Art Theefe are a three piece band from Oxford, fronted by song writer, and Catweazle Club founder, Matt Sage, with Josh Rigal on bass and Joel Bassuk on drums. They are set to release their crowdfunded debut single this summer.

Momento is a three-piece band that is of Greek and English origin. The band was originally formed in 2008 at University in England and changed dramatically over the next few years in terms of sound and style. As everyone involved has extremely diverse and varied musical influences, the creative outcome is always flexible and promotes a sense of openness and the priority is to be content and genuine concerning what we write and perform. Sources of influence musically range vastly from Classical to Electronica , Rock and Hip-Hop music as well as being slightly inclined towards the British Trip-Hop scene of the 90s.
