Arts at the Old Fire Station is a charity and social enterprise in the heart of Oxford, offering a range of performances and exhibitions for everyone, support for emerging artists and enterprising ways to sustain and develop art as a business.
There are loads of ways you can be a part of the organisation:
Volunteer in the theatre
Our theatre hosts a wide variety of performances. Come and volunteer as an usher and see the shows for free!
Or help with the technical side of things, such as lighting and sound.

Help to sell original arts and crafts from local artists, be creative with displays and interact with the public.
Volunteer Co-ordinator (Voluntary role)
Want to get involved in the Oxford Fringe Festival? Think you might have a hidden talent for recruiting and scheduling? Are you in Oxford, 22 May to 7 June
We are looking for someone to help co-ordinate all the volunteers we need as bar tenders, box office assistants and ushers (probably all three!) during a packed two weeks of drama, comedy, music and dance here at the Old Fire Station. This role is just for a couple of hours a week in the run up to the Festival.

We’re looking for hard-working and enthusiastic event staff to make sure Marmalade 2015 at the Old Fire Station runs smoothly from the 13th – 17th April at The Old Fire Station, Oxford. Building on three years of hosting the fantastic Oxford Jam, the Old Fire Station is delighted to be welcoming Marmalade, designed to create a new spread of events that focus on Social Change. Other volunteering opportunities include admin support, fundraising, marketing and publicity and a whole range of one-off events that rely on the help of volunteers.
Depending on the role, volunteers will need to have a basic competence in customer care and IT, but mainly need to be reliable, thoughtful and enthusiastic. We offer support, training and lots of opportunities for development.
